Fourth Generation Dealer...
Among the nation's oldest tire dealerships, E.T. Paul Co. of Columbus, Ohio, began as a blacksmith shop in 1895. In the Paul family four generations, it now specializes in High-Performance tires.

For all Mike Paul knows, he may have the oldest family-owned tire dealership in the United States. He isn't sure, he is sure he owns the oldest one in Ohio.

Mike's grandfather Edward Thomas Paul, founded the E.T. Paul Co. in 1895 as a blacksmith shop. The business, still located on Parsons Avenue, just east of downtown, has been in the family for four generations.

"Eddie" Paul made a hit with customers by placing rubber-covered pads on the hooves of horses so grand ladies and gentlemen of that era could ride their carriages in genteel quiet. It was only natural, that with the arrival of the first motor cars, Columbus's carriage trade turned to E.T. Paul Co. for rubber replacement tires. Many still do so today. The century-old Columbus dealership has found its niche; supplying the modern-day carriage trade with high-performance tires and wheels. Today, E.T. Paul Co. handles tires by Michelin, Toyo, Pirelli, Goodyear, and many others.

We believe that our strong commitment to quality service, resolve to offering the best products available and, above all, our desire to exceed our customer's expectations will keep us in business long into the future.
